Everything about Mir Sadiq totally explained

Mir Sadiq popularly known as the "Traitor" held the post of a minister in the cabinet of Tipu Sultan of Mysore. In the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War he betrayed his own people and sided with the British, paving the way for a British victory in India. The British had attacked and besieged the capital Srirangapattinam in 1799. Mir Sadiq sent the army to collect wages at the height of the battle, thus giving the British a chance to enter through the hole made through bombardment of the fort wall. It is also known that he spread water in the basement where the ammunition was stored, making the ammunition unusable.
